The Power of First Principles
I came across an interesting and relatable article on apple news called "How did these Stanford Students turn $5 Into $650 in just 2 hours? They used the power of first principles, and so can you."by Jeff Haden on Inc. website about using the power of First Principles.
“Sometimes finding the best way forward means boiling a challenge or problem down to its essence.”
Our journey as entrepreneurs has been interesting to say the least. There really isn’t a guide or place you can go to learn best practice on how to create a business as an entrepreneur. It is mostly doing and learning as you go.
Of course, there are plenty of resources that will help you on your journey, but that help isn’t free, as a bootstrapped entrepreneur you must wisely spend your investments.
The problem was one that we directly experienced while building our first business that created fun personalized days at the beach.
There wasn't a single easy to use technology platform for small and medium sized experience-oriented businesses to use that was able to manage resources, incorporate wayfinding, and have real time communications with guests.
The solutions we did find were fragmented, time consuming, incomplete, and expensive. Every plug in took a percentage of our profits.
We wanted to build a solution for these small and medium sized businesses that didn’t eat away a big chunk of profits and at the same time gave consumers, the businesses, and the community tools they could use to make experiences fun, easy and personal.
Our three-pronged approach starts with a consumer facing recreational life manager app that will make exploring the world around them fun and easy. This will create a community of fun seekers who want to stay in the moment and not have to manage their experiences.
The second prong is the business app which will include a Premium Mobile Interface, Menu Personalization, Localized Support, Plug and Play Simplicity, Point of Sale and Reservations, an Enhanced Client Lifecycle, Resource Management, and Community Integration all while using Best Practice Models. Simplifying the small business tech stack all at a reasonable price point.
Finally, we will have a community facing app. helping community members shape how businesses and consumers interact with the communities that they exist within. A space where communities can offer support, give feedback, and offer unique experiences to those who seek them.
We know the problem from first-hand experience, and have the knowledge, skills and resources to create the answer for these small and medium sized experience centric businesses and the consumers who seek them out.
We are well on our way with the our first app being launched in winter 2022-23.
Join us for a new way to explore the world around you.
