Communications & Outreach
A writer who plays dress up as an Education Specialist and Crisis Counselor. She has more than 20 years of experience supporting at-risk youth and underserved communities. She is fluent in laughter with a rather ribald sense of humor. Teaching pays the bills, but travel creates the thrills that make life worth living. Many of her journeys are solo and she prefers all things un-touristy. She’s made perfume in Paris, created lipstick in San Francisco, and unknowingly avoided a scam in Egypt by opting out of a camel ride. She is a dreamer committed to sating her heart’s appetite for travel, culture immersion, arts, and all things posh. She is the ultimate foodie and searches restaurants immediately after booking flight and lodging (Mary had a little lamb, but Alexis had a lot). When she is not creating lesson plans or extinguishing fires (that are the tax one pays for having a pulse and breathing), she is studying airfare and seeking new hacks for travel.

Hospitality & Service
A veteran within the hospitality industry who thrives on helping to create memorable moments for others. My 31+ years in this space has fed my need to be of service to others very well.A single mom who is always looking for ways to make the world a more beautiful place for my children to live their lives in. My 19+ years in this space has had me doing much philanthropy and activism towards better things on the daily, which also feeds my soul very well.A lover of art, music, travel and good food. My 53 yr journey in life so far has taught me that seeking out the things that I love is a much needed thing for my mental and emotional well being. I make things. I dance and sing. I get up and go places. And I eat and drink delicious things. This keeps me excited for the what's next, even when life gets bumpy. And with 2.5 years post cancer, I've amped that practice up a bit, and life just keeps getting more awesome on the daily.
Health & Safety
Born and raised in the Finger Lakes region of New York, in a town that may literally have more cows than people. A surgical nurse, board-certified infection preventionist, and healthcare leader by trade, whose career led her to a "Nurse Nomad" lifestyle. A forever student of life and learning, an explorer of new locales, off-the-beaten path jaunts, and enriching experiences (like watching a random pick-up soccer game on Isla Mujeres, meandering through the streets of Nassau, and finding an unexpected peace in the beauty and tranquility of the San Xavier del Bac Mission during a solo desert drive). A novice (at best) photographer with dreams of someday achieving National Geographic-quality snapshots of the awe that is nature. Solo or with others, travel provides an outlet for Rebecca to continue evolving as a human. During her days as a Nurse Nomad, Rebecca had the opportunity to connect with a lot of fantastic people that she would call friends, including Daryl and Jason. While working and living in the summer desert of Southern California, Rebecca crossed paths with the man that would eventually become her life's partner and father to their sweet yet spicy child. With their dog Carlos in tow, they made their way back to the San Francisco Bay Area to settle, and Rebecca continued cultivating relationships with friends from her Nurse Nomad years in the Bay Area while forging new friendships and blazing her professional path in a top 10 academic health system. Throughout, her explorations have continued, taking an approach geared more towards family outings, hopeful to develop a passion for exploring and learning in her child, and still seeking out those locales that are off-the-beaten path when traveling solo, with partner, or with family (like winning a fresh tropical and chocolate jackpot on a family-run farm in Kauai, ducking into a fantastic random noodle house in Hilo to get out of the rain, or being drawn into a random New Orleans bar by a brassy, new age rendition of the theme song to "Star Trek"). Rebecca loves her family, her New York sports teams (Yankees and Rangers!), mindless and sometimes sophomoric comedy, planning the next trip, scoring hot travel deals, and reading novels on everything from tracking pan-resistant superbugs to Steinbeck. While she embraces a broad spectrum of musical genres, there will always be a toss-up of who the greatest rock band of all time is for her: The Beatles or Led Zeppelin.
I am a sales and marketing executive who works along side business owners to help define their offerings into the marketplace, systematize their organizations and then grow the business. I am also a co-owner of a charter sailing yacht in Honolulu, Hawaii. I believe business can be used as a force for positive change in the world. Most of my work in the last 20 years has been in local and sustainable food development and tourism.
For over 25 years, my teams and I have created beautiful cakes both in the United States and internationally. I proudly rebranded, led and represented the Sprinkles Custom Cakes brand, an icon in the Central Florida cake and events community since 1989. I am a true believer in exceptional and memorable customer service. My tenures at The Ritz Carlton NYC, The Four Seasons NYC, Westin Seattle, and Hilton International Puerto Rico have provided the blueprint for the level of care and attention to detail that I seek to provide clients and vendors alike. Now in the medical field, I continue to focus on taking a personal and detail-oriented approach to customer interaction when welcoming patients
I’ve always been amazed by digital technologies and the problems it can solve, it’s what got me into the field.
UX/UI Designer with a passion for creating unique and powerful products focused on pleasing user's needs! I come from a background of about 8 years in digital marketing in the power sports industry. I've paired my experience with my skillset in UX to help businesses build more intuitive products and understand the needs of their customers better.Transitioning into the role of a UX Designer felt very natural for me as I've been building strategies and products for users most of my career! Being the first Digital Marketing hire at Bert's Mega Mall 8 years ago, I’ve had the opportunity to wear many hats while building our marketing strategy and team. The more exposure I had to conduct user research and really keeping user-empathy at the focus of my team, One of the accomplishments I am really proud of was identifying a need to upgrade our phone sales system, based on user feedback, and implementing a new online system that effectively generated an additional 1.4M in revenue, and made ordering more intuitive for our user-base.
